Puzzle: Shop-till-you-drop

On a recent shopping trip I visited four shops, spending 5$, $10, $15, and $20 but not in that order. The items I bought in the last two shops totalled $30 while those from Lewis Johns and Wellys came to $20. I spent less in S&M, which was not my last shop, than I did in Lewis Johns and $5 more in Nick Harveys than I did in the first shop. How much did I spend in each shop and in what order did I patronize them?

Puzzle: Hack the Password

Another puzzle from the Friday Magazine:

Tony’s email password uses the letters and numbers TONY1234 but not in the same order. In the password the Y is three places left of 3, the T is two places left of 2, N is four places right of 4 and O is one place right of 1. The Y is next to 2, a letter is in the first place but the O is not the last.

Can you crack Tony’s email security?

Puzzle: Queue Builder

Here a puzzle that appeared in a The Friday magazine of Gulf News recently:

Five people stood in the queue at the post office all facing forward along the line towards the counter. From his position in the queue, Alan could see both Mr. Irving and Mrs. Foster. Emma could see both Mr. Harris and Dave. From his position, Barry could see Mr. Jones, but not Celia.  The surname of one of the people in the queue was Green.

So now reconstruct the queue.
