Windows Vista = Red Tape

July 12th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Currently using Vista on a borrowed laptop. (My own is WinXP).

I find there’s a lot of red tape. You simply have to press too many buttons to get a job done.

In XP, connecting to Mobilink was easier: Start > Connect > Mobilink > Dial.

In Vista, it is: Start > Connect To > Mobilink USB > Connect > Dial > Close.

It’s similar for all other things. I think in near future I’ll have to buy a replacement mouse.

What do you people think?

I have been using Vista for a year exactly now. Its neat, too fancy for home use and has too many options to make your life fussy. The service pack they launched in April (was actually launched in march) had a lot of my ThinkPad drivers dead. Still there are troubles, but I am getting used to it now. On the other hand, I have found Office 2007 to be a lot better, although its not as user friendly as the office 2003 was. But then, technology has never been too kind on our brains either.

Yeah i feel the same sometimes that it got alot of red-tape….but on opposite side its more open i.e. u got alot of more features and accessibility options thats make more important positive aspects than the dark side..
